2005 Tribeca/Amazon Short Film winner.

Producer/Director Jon Lindgren

The short film explores one aspect of the 1999 Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, CO, focusing on the difference between a victim and the shooter. The story is told from the perspective of Rachel Scott's family and friends, who share a backstory of good and evil. The story includes an illustration drawn by Rachel, which, in the aftermath of America's worst school shooting, depicts the school and the number of students who died that day.

The title Rachel's Challenge comes from the family's efforts to tell Rachel's story to other schools around the country through a program of the same name that challenges students to choose acts of kindness over acts of violence.
