We met with home builders D R Horton to shoot one of their 3 luxury show homes. The best way to explore a potential home of this caliber is to experience it first hand, and VR tours give potential buyers an experience of the atmosphere that flat images could never convey. However, this project presented a new challenge for the team: indoor balconies. We decided to treat the space like a window, instead of cutting off the data like a wall. This way visitors have more access to reach the balcony and experience the first floor underneath.
After our first tour for D R Horton was recorded and edited, we visited again to shoot the largest luxury show home, West Parkway Sheldon Plan. The camera Lindgren Media uses to capture a 3Dspace for virtual tours is able to produce everything the client needed in HD quality. I would have to relate the 3Dvirtual walk through as an appetizer before a good meal, once you have a pretty good feeling of the space online, you’ve created a pretty good appetite to experience the actual location.
